Japanese taxi automatic doors

I have never seen automatic taxi doors in another country. When you get in a taxi in Japan you don't have to open the door yourself. You just wait beside the rear door until taxi driver opens it.
The rear door is operated from the driver's seat. If you try to open it with your hand taxi driver may say, "don't touch it". Actually, I have had some experience of taxi drivers getting angry when I try to open the rear door myself.
This may be confusing for visitors from other countries. Also, as most taxi drivers don't speak English, you may have to show them a map and point to the place you want to go.
Japanese taxis are more expensive than in other countries. But they don't cheat with the fare and they drive safely. Additionally, you'll enjoy travelling in a shiny black car with wide, clean seats.
I bet the most comfortable kind of transport is an expensive taxi.
Tips OSAKA: As you can see in these two pictures, Osaka taxis are BLACK. When you arrive Osaka you'll see that they are a different colour from taxis in other cities, like Tokyo.
